Hear What Others Have to Say

Matt Castillo

21,MCLA College Hockey Capitan/professional prospect

I met Bryant at a low point in my career. I was cut from my college team and I knew I needed  help getting myself back on track. I knew I needed a new way of training to get some new results. I reached out to Bryant and we got to work right away. He did a full assessment of my body and movement patterns and we attacked my weaknesses. Throughout the process, Bryant was easily accessible and incredibly knowledgeable.

The change was dramatic. I moved way better than I did before and my body felt incredible on a day to day basis. Just two years later, I’m now one of the better players on my team and have the ability to play professionally after my senior year. Working with Bryant was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. If you’re looking to improve yourself, working with Bryant is a no brainer.

I have been working with trainers the past 10 years and I can say without hesitation that Bryant’s knowledge, ability to modify exercises when needed & experience were unmatched! His caring nature and genuine concern was present in every class. He is a kind, honest person who took a real interest in each person. Bottom line he is committed to the women he trains and it showed loud and clear through his actions.

I couldn’t be more grateful for the past 3 years. There were many days that started out gloomy for me but after training with him I left the gym I had a brand new mindset. He made the classes fun and brought a smile to my face with his upbeat and positive attitude.  I believe the older you get the more important it is to know people care and he exemplified this in all his actions as a trainer. There are so many things to remember but “feet straight, butt back” will always be at the forefront! It was a privilege to be able to train with Bryant these past 3 years.

I have been playing hockey, training with different skill coaches & playing for several elite teams throughout the years. At the start of my Junior year and after seeing some of the things Bryant was doing to help train my sister I reached out and couldn't be happier I did. He first helped me get familiar with my own body and things only elevated from there. We started to do exercises involving the whole body and that directly translated to hockey. I began to feel things I hadn't before, was moving so smoothly without any pain and couldn't wait to train more. Before training with Bryant I felt that I was missing something, but after learning & training my mobility & explosiveness has taken me to the next level!

Before
After

Originally, I started out with the goal of looking to get healthier with better direction in the gym. I was super overweight, I used pull my back constantly, and couldn’t get back into a good fitness routine. With Bryant, I not only stopped pulling my back but lost 45lbs while gaining so much confidence over the span of a year. I’ve gained so much strength back in my body, but also the gym is not only a positive space and none of the machines or weights seem intimidating! Bryant is the guy you want coaching you to do your best; he’ll build you up! His determination to help you, and his kindness are only outshined but his expansive knowledge. #BootybyBryant

I have never been more appreciative to any trainer I’ve had in my over 20 years of training that I do for Bryant. I remember when Bryant first started at GISFW it didn’t take long for all of us to realize how lucky we are to have you at the gym. His deep understanding of fitness and positive attitude brought a new amazing and fun energy to the gym. I have always admired his commitment to helping everyone in the class and for all the specific help you have given me with the various different injuries I was dealing with. Most importantly, Bryant’s a really good person who shows compassion and kindness to all and couldn’t be happier to have him in my life as a trainer and friend

Bryant has worked with my son Nick for almost 2 years now as his personal trainer and football coach. In that time their developed bond brought Nick out of his shell where Ive seen increased levels of confidence and fitness attributing to his play in both football and lacrosee taken to the next level, including his defensive player of the year award in his most recent season.

Bryant's work with Nick has been impressive to say the least. He has taken the time to get to know Nick while helping motivate him to become a better athlete, and more importantly young man, while striving towards achieving all his goals

I met Bryant three years ago when he started as a trainer at Get In Shape for Women. I really appreciated his dedication and passion for his work. He understood my perspective that I was there to workout and wanted to be challenged. Bryant’s enthusiasm motivated me to want to push myself to do just a bit more than I thought my body was capable of doing. Before my session he would check in with me and the other women he was training to see if we had any concerns or needed any sort of modifications.

He took the time during my workout session to show me how to do certain exercises and then after he showed me and saw that my form needed improvement during the next set he would ask me if I needed to change anything. He helped me learn to pay attention to my form and not just rush through my exercises.

This past summer when I injured my shoulder playing catch with my nephew he took the time to show and teach me various stretches that helped my shoulder to feel better! He was also really good about offering encouragement and accountability and suggested that I log what I was eating using an app and for further accountability, he would challenge me to text him my summary at the end of my day.

My mom said Bryant helped her to get her first pull ups going. According to my dad, she had zero upper strength before. I can confirm because I could always pull the leash and she could never rein me in (I have a lot of muscles! Broad shoulder and narrow waist, and I know everyone tells my parents how handsome I am!). Anyways, she wanted to go backpacking but her pack was way too heavy for the mountains. After half a year of training with Bryant, she did go to the White Mountains for a back packing trip carrying a pack 30% of her body weight.

But my trainer is still better! I don't remember anything I learned from her, but she gave me freeze dry premium chicken every time! I bet Bryant never gave her any!
